One of those days

We have had one of those days here in Fairbanks. We had big plans for today, to get ready for Christmas and our upcoming trip to Maui. Shopping, Mailing, Wrapping and Packing. As of 700pm we have accomplished none of those things. The weather in Fairbanks is clear and cold. Ha Ha -45 Right now. This morning Nathan’s hives (he has had them for about a week and was on Rx Zertec) progressed into swelling of the lips and hands. So we had to get him to the doctor’s office in a hurry. Neither vehicle would start and both were plugged in. Brent Kaiser to the rescue, he took Lisa and Nathan to the doctors helped get the truck in the garage and later the car. During the day I had to clean the garage out to make room for the truck. Not an easy task in 70 degree weather never mind -45. Anyway long day. Finally got the truck started and went to rent Pirates of the Caribian, I didn’t think it would be there, but it was. I returned to a smoke filled house.:) Lisa had a small oven fire while cooking dinner. Fortunately dinner was done and she had baking soda near by. We are going to settle down and watch the movie. Hopefully the DVD player doesn’t break.
